Happy Birthday Jake....

My Dearest Jake,

Wow.. I can't believe that you are already two years old... These years have gone by so fast and have been filled with so many changes... This year for you has been a difficult one... You helped me get through the rough pregnancy with your sister... You made me laugh and took long naps so I could get some rest... You love your new sister... When you see her you say "Hi Baby" and gently take your cheek and rest it on hers.... You show her your toys so kindly and read her your books in your own language... You love your trains "Choo-Choo's" .... You sit on the steps of our bedroom with your hands tucked in between your legs and watch I Love Toy Trains.. You wave to the conductor and when their is a song you dance in circles.... You love to run, climb, and jump... You can't wait till Daddy comes home so you can play "Jumpy Jump"... Daddy holds you under your arms and you jump from room to room... You jump so high that Daddy has you touch the ceiling... You also love your Big Brother Ty... You watch him get on the bus for school in the morning yelling "Bye Ty"... Then when Ty gets home you run yelling "Hi Ty" and embrace him with the biggest hug... At night you both burn yourselves out by running with your cars through the house... You look up to Ty and whatever he has or does you want to do it or have it too... I know that throughout the years you two are going to be the best of friends as you are right now... Your favorite TV shows are Word World & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.... You love Cars, The Movie and your new love is Wall-e... As soon as you see the commercial you want me to rewind it over and over again saying "Again-Again"... Thank Goodness for our DDR.... You are the best eater as you try everything before you make a choice that you like it or not (something your brother has never done)... You have an excellent bed-time routine... We brush your teeth, say our prayers, give kisses then shut off the lights... You lay right down with your sippy cup of milk and your best friend Blankey Dumbo that you hold over your shoulder so close....

Jake you are truly our blessing from God... Your laugh and your spirit warms our heart and lives.... You are our middle child and I hope you always know the special person you are in our family... And always know that me and your Dad will always watch over you and keep you safe... We will always love you and be your parents but I hope when you are older that you consider us your best friends too... I love you and I can't wait to see what new adventures the Two's are going to bring for us.... I love you Jake more than you'll ever know...

Happy Second Birthday, Buddy...

Love,
Mommy

Kaitlyn 1 month Check up....

Well today was Kaitlyn's 1 month Check up with Dr. Zoe... She is now 10 lbs and 22 1/2 in long... She is doing very good says the Dr. her only issue is a clogged Tear duct... So I have to massage her eye 3 times a day and put on the eye warm compress... She also has a medicine that I have to put on the inside of her eyelid 3 times a day... I also have to get her ultra sound repeated to make sure her kidney has improved...

It was a crazy visit to the Dr. today not only did I have Kaitlyn's visit but I had to take the boys, too.. Tyler got his flu shot which he was quite nervous about but put his brave face on and did it... And Jake has a head cold... Thank God my Mom came with me.. Being in a small room with 2 adults, a toddler who wants to open every drawer and door, a 7 year old that is asking a million questions, and an infant who is starving... It was definitely a crazy visit that felt like we were waiting forever... It is really hitting me that I have 3 kids now and life is not going to feel normal for a real long time... But then again what is normal, right?
